Our group

Built around people.
Driven by performance.

AKI Hospitality Group is a UK operating platform combining premium food franchise brands with long-term commercial property ownership.

Who we are

Our story

Led by co-directors Muhammad Ibrahim and Akhlaq Ahmad, we build a UK operating platform combining premium franchise brands with long-term property ownership.

Our first step was the right brand and the right site rather than the fastest ones — Smoky Boys BBQ & Grill Haus at Highcross, Leicester, delivered end to end by our directors.

Our philosophy

How we operate

Operators, not investors at a distance

When a franchisor or landlord deals with AKI, they deal with the people who own the outcome.

The right site, not any site

We would rather pass on ten adequate sites than sign one wrong one.

Build the infrastructure first

Compliance, HR, payroll and financial control are in place before the doors open.

Long-term relationships

With franchisors, landlords, advisers and the communities we trade in.

Our operating model

Today and tomorrow

AKI is not simply a restaurant operator. We are building a hospitality platform.

Today

Hospitality, franchising and operations — with compliance, banking and advisers in place from day one.

Tomorrow

Multi-brand hospitality and property across the United Kingdom, supported by long-term ownership.

How we're resourced

A professional infrastructure, retained from day one

The same infrastructure a group many times our size would run.

Advisers retained across
  • Legal
  • Design & architecture
  • Building surveying & CDM
  • Banking
  • Accountancy & tax
  • Immigration & HR compliance
Our future

Growing with purpose

A group of complementary hospitality businesses — restaurants, food-to-go, coffee and beyond — supported by a long-term property portfolio.

We would rather grow carefully and keep every promise we make than grow quickly and keep none.
